Poppy Playtime, the mascot horror game that has scared the living daylights out of us for the past few years, is finally coming to consoles.

Poppy Playtime, the mascot horror game that has been scaring the crap out of us for the past few years, is finally coming to consoles.

Chapter 1: The Tight Squeeze, which first came out on PC in 2021, will debut on PS4 and PS5 on 20 December and on Nintendo Switch on 25 December. This is probably because there’s no better time to release a terrifying horror game on the family’s favourite console than Christmas.

You can add the PlayStation-flavoured version to your wish list now or pre-order it on Switch starting 18 December.

Horror fans can enjoy Poppy Playtime right now on PC when it launches on 12 October 2021. No release date is currently available for the Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, or OLED versions of Poppy Playtime.

A Switch port of Poppy Playtime is not planned at this time, although it is not out of the question in the future. MOB Games may scale the title for native operation or release Poppy Playtime: Cloud Version for Nintendo Switch.

“In the first chapter, players enter the abandoned Playtime Co. Factory as a former worker who returns to find out what happened to the missing employees,” the team explains.

“With the GrabPack in hand, explore the factory to solve puzzles, follow clues that will help you get closer to the truth, and fight for your life while the toys terrorise you.”

Poppy Playtime will also receive a third chapter later this month.

Titled “Deep Sleep”, it will be the scariest and longest chapter of the game, which will take players further into the abandoned toy factory of Playtime Co.

Developer Mob Entertainment promises new characters, more mini-games, and improved graphics in this part.
