Pacific Drive: 15% discount on pre-orders for the upcoming mystery/survival game

A different kind of existential angst: strange phenomena are occurring in the Olympic Exclusion Zone in the Pacific Northwest of America. Strange shadows move behind the trees and the environment seems to be constantly changing and mutating. Armed only with your car and a handful of tools, you explore this strange national park and get to the bottom of the mysteries. The game concept looks absolutely ingenious and promising, but we still have to wait almost two weeks until the survival thriller Pacific Drive is finally released.

Pacific Drive – Release Date Trailer PS5 Games

Judging by the trailer and preview images, it’s definitely worth a closer look. The game will be released on February 22, and the discount for Plastation Plus subscribers will last until the 22nd, so you still have plenty of time to buy Pacific Drive for only £22.49 / $26.99

Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Ironwood Studios have released a 10-minute gameplay overview video for Pacific Drive, in which creative director Alexander Dracott and game director Seth Rosen introduce the gameplay of the survival adventure game.

In the shade of tall evergreens in the Pacific Northwest, you find yourself trapped behind a 300 metre high wall. Why was it built and who or what are the Remnants? Mysterious voices blast across the radio waves, asking you questions, warning you. Battling the elements and anomalies, you can be sure of only one thing: you and your car will not leave the Zone unchanged.

More information about Pacific Drive

Pacific Drive was developed by Ironwood Studios and is marketed by Kepler Interactive. You take control of a man who is trapped in the Olympic Exclusion Zone and is desperate to find a way out. But it’s not that easy, because the problem isn’t just that you don’t have a map – the world itself seems to be morphing around you and preventing your escape. With your workshop as your home base and an old station wagon as your means of transport, you have to explore your surroundings, collect resources and pimp your car for the dangers ahead.

You will encounter a variety of anomalies throughout the game, including metal monsters that will tear your car apart and electrical interference fields. Your main goal is to collect energy cores, which will ultimately allow you to escape. However, the more your collection grows, the more dangerous your environment becomes. Can you manage to escape this nightmare?

When to expect the game release

Pacific Drive is scheduled for release on 22 February for Windows and PlayStation 5. There are no plans for an Xbox release or Game Pass availability yet, but we don’t rule out the possibility. If we hear any news on this, we’ll let you know first!

In Pacific Drive, you are relatively helpless in the face of numerous dangers. If you prefer to meet them head-on, then perhaps a first-person/survival shooter will also be something of interest to you.

Pacific Drive will be out in a month, but if you’re the kind of person who prefers to buy physical editions, you’ll have to wait longer. Back in November, it was revealed that the game would be getting a physical Deluxe edition sometime in the spring of 2024, and now a specific release date has been announced.

Ironwood Studios announced on Twitter that the physical Deluxe edition of Pacific Drive, which will be distributed by Maximum Games, will be released on 9 April on PS5, a few weeks after the game’s release.

Pacific Drive will be released on PS5 and PC on 22 February.
