Orange Pi Neo: a new portable with trackpads, Ryzen 7 7840U and Manjaro OS

Information about a new gaming laptop from Orange Pi, a company known for its single-board solutions, has appeared on the web. The product will debut under the name Orange Pi Neo. In terms of stuffing it has nothing unusual. The device uses a Ryzen 7 7840U chip with RDNA3 graphics, just like many other similar products. RAM – LPDDR5-7500 up to 32GB. SSD – PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe 512GB and 2TB. 50Wh battery. Case dimensions: 25.9×10.7×1.9 cm.

Orange Pi Neo comes with a 7-inch screen with 16:10 aspect ratio. It displays the picture in 1920×1200 pixels resolution at a frame rate of 120 Hz. Brightness is up to 500 nits. In addition to the usual controls Neo will have two trackpads like Steam Deck. The device also resembles Valve’s console with its shapes. The manufacturer is going to use Manjaro Linux as an operating system.

Orange Pi Neo was brought to the FOSDEM 2024 exhibition, where it can be felt. When the console will be available for sale and at what price is not reported.
