Final Fantasy XIV has passed the 30 million player mark, and the open beta for Xbox has gotten a tentative release date

While celebrating the Final Fantasy XIV fan festival in Tokyo, Square Enix made some interesting announcements related to the popular MMORPG.

It became known that Final Fantasy XIV has crossed the mark of 30 million registered players. This figure is clearly going to increase, as the open beta testing of the game for Xbox Series X|S is about to begin.

It’s scheduled for February 21, but it’s possible that there will be a bit of a change. Xbox players will get full crossplay with other platforms, and progress will carry over to the full release, which should be in the spring.

It is also known that Final Fantasy XVI with the title The Path Infernal will be released in early April.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, PS5 and PS4. The Dawntrail add-on will be released in the summer of 2024.
