Highwater Official Announcement Trailer

Highwater’s plot centres on the protagonist Nikos, who begins his journey at a time when the world around him is becoming increasingly inhospitable to humans and rumours of the possibility of humanity escaping to Mars are becoming more widespread. Throughout his journey, Nikos will make new friends, fight rebels, and ultimately aim to sneak onto the rocket before it launches.

However, there are two dry regions, the War Zone and Alphaville, the latter being a haven for the super-rich. Hearing rumours of a chance to escape to Mars, Nikos sets off and will attempt to sneak aboard a departing rocket. Travelling by boat to different islands, you will recruit allies and hope that you manage to survive the journey.Combat in the game is turn-based, with a grid system and interacting with the environment to defeat enemies. Along the way, players can listen to Highwater Pirate Radio with commentary and music.

The game’s combat system is one of its key features, with the developer emphasising a tactical and puzzle-based approach to combat. During combat, players will be able to interact with the world around them. For example, players will be able to push carts into enemies or knock down a tree on them.

Highwater will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
