Nintendo: Mario vs Donkey Kong announced for Switch

Nintendo: The Japanese manufacturer of video games and game consoles is completely remaking a true Mario classic in February 2024. Mario vs. Donkey Kong, the remake of the well-known Game Boy Advance adventure, will be released. Players can look forward to top-class casual fun in the showdown between the company’s two figureheads.

The industrious plumber has to fight his way through numerous levels to recover stolen toy figures from the giant monkey. It goes without saying that the figures feature Mario’s likeness. An initial demo of the game is already available and whets the appetite for more.

The many small levels have been skilfully staged and offer all kinds of challenges in their own right. Gamers can look forward to switch and slide puzzles galore, combined with classic Super Mario content.

According to Nintendo, the game will offer a total of eight varied worlds, each with six levels and bonus stages. Donkey Kong is of course also included. Interested players can already test the game now and play the first four levels for free. The demo version is available free of charge in the official Nintendo Shop.

Favourite classic from the Game Boy Advance

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is practically a Nintendo veteran. The arcade game was first released in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance and is the first game in the Mario vs Donkey Kong series. The upgraded version for Switch has improved graphics and the ability to play together for two players on the couch.

The game will include two modes: The original difficulty level is aimed at fans of the classics, as well as an easy mode with no time limit. Mario vs. Donkey Kong is scheduled for release on 16 February 2024 for Nintendo Switch.
