How to get the secret ending in God of War Ragnarok?

This guide will show you how to unlock the secret ending of God of War Ragnarok.

Believe it or not, God of War Ragnarok has a secret ending. However, you have a feeling that you have already discovered it. If not, here’s a hint – to unlock the second (secret) ending, you need to attend Brock’s funeral.

After the final meeting with Odin and a few scenes that conclude the main plot of the game, Kratos and Freya can explore the worlds together to hide any unfinished business. When Brock dies, Sindri is mortally (this is a figurative expression) resentful of Kratos and Atreus. Lunda takes on the responsibility of creating and improving Kratos’ equipment. It is Lunda who, after Atreus leaves and we see the game’s credits, tells Kratos that there will be a funeral for Brock in Svartalfheim, the Dwarf Kingdom. This will start a side quest called “Viking Funeral”.

The funeral itself begins at Raeb’s Tavern in Nidavellir, the main dwarven city, and then eventually moves to the shores in the Sword Sands area. Kratos, along with Mimir, Freya, and several dwarves, come to pay their respects to Brock. Sindri also appears, although he is still unwilling to speak to Kratos. Once the side quest is completed and the funeral is over, the secret end credits will appear, but not before Mimir makes a heartbreaking comment that refers to something Brock said a few hours earlier in the game.
